Will The Australian Ballet School be performing at this event?
The day is a fundraiser for The Australian Ballet School. As the students are rehearsing for their end of year performance, we will have Fairy Ballet classes run by a School teacher with a School pianist. Other magical performers will be out and about on the day to entrance Fabulous Fairy Day guests.
Will the event still be on if it rains?
Yes, we have many activities under cover if it does rain, and the entertainers will still be appearing.
Is food available?
Yes, Bursaria Cafe will be open and we will also have a range of delicious food and coffee to buy in the courtyard outside the cafe.
Can we bring our own picnic?
Yes there will be places in the garden for you to enjoy your own picnic lunch, please bring a rug to sit on.
Can we bring wine or alcoholic drinks?
No, you may buy wine at Bursaria, but no alcoholic beverages can be brought onto the site.
Are all the activities free?
Many of the craft activities and games are free and other activities will be available at a small charge. See the Activities information on website for details.
How do you pay for the charged activities?
We will be selling tickets on the day for participation in the 'paid for' activities such as the Fairy Ballet classes and some of the other activities.
What is available to purchase besides food?
We will have some very cute and reasonably priced fairy and elf accessories to buy such as fairy headbands, fairy hairpins and wrist bands, wands, elf ears and more! You will also be able to purchase photographs of your children with the Fairy King and Queen!
Will there be an opportunity to win some prizes?
Yes, we will be selling Raffle tickets and we have some wonderful prizes including a special weekend stay at the 5 star Sofitel Hotel in Melbourne for mum and dad, gourmet hampers, beautiful fairy dolls and a family stay at Wesley College's Campus in Clunes. Raffle tickets will be only $5 each.
What bathroom facilities are available?
Como has toilets available and there will be also be portable toilets hired for this event.
Stroller and disabled access?
There is a winding ramp up to the entrance of Como gatehouse for access into the property for those pushing strollers/prams and wheelchairs.
Is smoking allowed?
Please respect the fact that smoking is not permitted within any part of the house and property at any time.
